My interview with Myself and Investopenly

Jes 2 Comments

If you are keen to find out more about my financial background and details, click here to read the interview at Investopenly. I am grateful to Richard for publishing my invite even though I am not a financial but a lifestyle blogger. Anyway, for the more personal stuff, here is an interview I imagined for myself:
Oh, this is me, not my baby :)
1) Who are you?
I am Jes, not Jess or Jesme. SimplyJesMe is a word play on Simply Just Me. I am 31 years old this year and have 1 child. This blog is just a space for me to share my thoughts, I have never thought I could continue blogging for more than 2 years now!

2) Why do you not show us your identity?
I started this blog with the intention to share and not for narcissistic purposes. Unless I look like a top model, publishing my picture is not going to help achieve the aim of the blog, which is more financial awareness for people. No intention to hide at all, I can definitely reveal who I am with the right platform.

3) What are your hobbies?
I love to read, play basketball and watch k-dramas. I also love to talk and negotiate, which is why I am in sales currently. Not everyone likes to hear me talk so I like to blog so I can get the words out of me.

4) What are you busy with nowadays?
Besides SimplyJesMe, I now have a SnackFirst blog to maintain too. Judging from SimplyJesMe which took around 1 year before there is some readers, I foresee SnackFirst will also take more than 1 year to gain traction, which is why I still doing my full time job for a stable income.

5) What is your philosophy in life?
YOLO, which is why time should not be wasted thinking and imagining. I am someone who can read something and put theories into action right away if I feel it is the right thing to do. Do it now, there is never a better time.

Do you have some questions for me? Let me know :)

Jes

  1. I read that interview on investopenly yesterday. It's great to read about female financial bloggers, their choices and perspectives etc because it could be quite different from the male bloggers.

    1. Hi Kate,

I think I am a lifestyle blogger, definitely can't be a financial blogger compared to the gurus out there. I hope there will be more knowledgeable female readers like you too! :)
