How to get approval from Google Adsense

Jes 9 Comments

After more than 10 times of applying to get into Google Adsense, I finally got it after almost a year of doing so! I thought I would never get it. Actually, I was not expecting to get approved when I did because I changed nothing since my last application.

Anyway, these are the steps I took:
1) Include an About Me page
2) Include a Disclaimer page at the bottom
3) Include a Privacy Policy page at the bottom
4) Revert your template to blogger approved ones to see if it's the template that is unsuitable
5) Delete any sentences that I copied from any news website as they have copy right on them
6) Delete any images that are not 'Labeled for reuse' under the Search tools tab in Google images. Hot links are perfectly fine if the image is safe for reuse.

However, I discovered something and it might be the reason why I finally get the much awaited approval. The period where I got the approval is when I got at least 50 clicks through Google searches daily. I do not  know if it's a criteria but I definitely did not change anything at all after completing the above steps.

I am just glad I can finally start earning some money from my blog, even though it's earning peanuts every day :)

  1. Congrats!

Adsense just deactivated my accounts which I placed the code last Thursday:( Somehow it happens to have 2 approval process. I'm now seeking help on forums to understand why.

    1. Hi GV,

It's not easy to find help particularly when they don't pinpoint the issue on why they deactivate or reject your request. I am unable to help you too but don't give up.. I am sure you will find success soon!

  2. That's awesome! Speaks volumes on your perseverance huh - ten times! I would have given up. We all started from peanuts =)

GV - Maybe check if you're violating any rules? Esp. the one on 3 ad units per page. Good to install Chrome extension such as Google Publisher so you don't accidentally click on your own ads too.

    2. Hi Kevin,

Haha, I don't give up when it's extra income even though it's peanuts. Although I blog for fun, it does gives me some motivation when seeing some tangible rewards. Pretty cool to have one more source as passive income right? :P

  3. Hi Jes,

Congrats. I was rejected several times initially and eventually go for the more inferior nuffnang. Not sure they allow for 2 ads now?

    1. Hi Rolf,

I saw from a few forums that you can apply for Adsense before Nuffnang to get both approved but I did not try it because Nuffnang really pays pitiful amount. I got 20cents a month from Nuffnang previously while I could easily get a few dollars from Adsense now. I think it's really worth the trouble to keep trying Adsense.

Glad to see you back fully recharged! :)

  4. Hey Jes

Yea it suck, Google doesn't tell exactly what has gone wrong but just a general statement.

I will try doing all these :

    1) Include an About Me page
    2) Include a Disclaimer page at the bottom
    3) Include a Privacy Policy page at the bottom

There are bloggers suggesting the same as well. Hopefully it works

    1. Hi GV,

Oh yeah, those 3 seems like the pre-requisite and you will never get approved without adding that. I know, I went through the frustrating process before not knowing why I got rejected, and now, not knowing why I got approved hahahah!
